De Baere est 1998

WHO WE ARE

De Baere was created by Ric De Baere, a World Champion Master Patisserie Chef with a mission to supply high quality baked goods on a nationwide scale. It is these same standards that we apply to everything we do - from the smallest canape to the largest celebration cake.


Belgium is famous for it’s wide variety of bakery delicacies and also where our founder was twice crowned World Champion Master Patisserie Chef. We preserve Ric’s legacy and values by keeping his name and continue to maintain his proven standards and championship recipes and skills.

Ric De Baere establishes his own brand of Belgium Patisserie in London, producing exquisite cakes and pastries to a select client base of independent cafes.

— 2000


Under the new guidance of David Everton, De Baere Wholesale was created as the demand for high-quality cakes and pastries increases with the evolution of the coffee scene in London.

— 2011

De Baeres’s present owners (who had in fact worked at the company for several years), took control and quickly set about diversifying the range of products. With a larger portfolio of delicious cakes, and sweet offerings the company attracted attention from very prestigious clients.

— 2015

De Baere moves into a new bespoke kitchen with a focus on food safety and hygiene and maintaining the quality we have become known for.

The success of De Baere lies primarily at the foundation of the business - with the ability to evolve with the changing demands of customers, whilst creating inspired cakes and pastries which in turn keep that same quality and consistency established by Ric De Baere all those years ago, and will continue to do so for years to come!
